We're now on spring break + read-a-thon

Hey friends!  We're on our first of ten days of Spring Break.  This is what we've been up to this week.

Eating popcorn

Using painter's tape...I was so proud of Lance that he made a house for Clarice before he got started on his own train tracks.  He is such a sweet big brother (well, most of the time).

Clarice had her Patriotic Spring performance at school last night.

It was so cute.  Some of the songs she sang were God Bless the USA, Let's Sing the New Testament, and You're a Grand Old Flag.  I was just so proud of Clarice and her friends.

This morning we were supposed to be working on Splash Math, but we somehow ended up at Chick-fil-A.
Lance is very happy to have a break from school for a full week.

We also went to a grocery store that has a water bottle machine.  You push a number and the robot arm grabs the drink and puts in down the tube.  The kids were very impressed.  For only twenty-five cents, I think we'll be drinking a lot of bottled water this summer.

I read Inspection last weekend and part of this week.  It takes me forever to read a whole book, but I don't feel too guilty because I hardly ever watch tv.
Not so sure I would recommend this one to my friends.  It is in the Horror genre.  I heard about it from watching BookTuber Katie from Chapter Stacks.  Inspection is about a boys school in a tower in the woods run by their D.A.D.  The boys don't even know that girls exist.  It was mildly scary.  Malerman is a good writer...just not sure I really like horror.

This weekend I'm going to try to participate in the read-a-thon promoted by Zoe at ReadByZoe on YouTube.  Here is my TBR (to be read), but realistically it will take me weeks (or months) to get through this pile...lol.
The Royal Rabbits of London - started it, really cute
The Ambrose Deception - started it, very funny
The Stranger - no clue...had to read Camus at night school long ago
Waste of Space - started it a while ago, very funny
Emma - doesn't everyone want to be able to say they read Austen?
Anyway, I hope you all have a good weekend.  I'll try to update on how my reading went.
xoxo,
Kelly
