school is out again...

School is out today for MLK Jr. Day.  I think Clarice has only been to school a handful of times in the past thirty days...sigh.
I am ready for the new year, and ready for our routine to get back to normal.

So...a friend of mine told me about the Jesus Story Book Bible.  It is great.  I'm really glad I ordered this one.  The kids enjoy (for the most part) listening to the stories from the Old and New Testaments.

I love Saturday mornings because I get ready, pick a kid (usually Clarice since she isn't terrified of public restrooms), and go run errands...
On that day I picked up a bookshelf at Hobby Lobby which I came home and painted bright blue.  I'll try to do a video about it soon...it is going to be epic!

Lance is really getting into drawing with his markers.  It is usually the first thing he likes to do in the morning...

And making pizza with daddy...

And throwing the football...he is really running on all cylinders these days!

That is all for now.  Hope you all have a great week!

xoxo,
Kelly

  2. I don't know if it was me who recommended the Jesus Storybook Bible, but we really love it! So glad you do too. I want to see the blue bookshelf. I love projects! We have been working on doing a little sprucing up to our laundry room which is such a dirty little space. Haha! Lance is really a talented little artist. Sounds like he is all boy these days. 😊

The Veggie Tales Jonah movie comes to mind...it was the first day of second grade... I had Lance hold a blank piece of paper, and...
