Blogtober days 10 & 11

After the week we had last week, I feel like I actually am accomplishing a few things this week.  :)
For day ten of Blogtober, Clarice and I helped out at The 12 Baskets Food Pantry.  Since I'm no longer volunteering at the Pregnancy Center, I thought I could at least do something.  It is only for about two hours and it is every two weeks on various days whenever they need people.  We just have to wheel a cart around and add can goods and cereal to big paper bags.  Sometimes Clarice likes to ride on the bottom of the cart.  I didn't take any pictures while we were in there but here is one of Clarice at the entrance to the church...

Then for day eleven, I was able to drop the kids off at school and go to a local high school to donate blood.
I look tired...maybe I was just thankful to be sitting down...ha! Anyway, it was so nice to be around teens.  Two young ladies escorted me to the restroom afterwards because I didn't know where it was.  They were so sweet and so over-protective.  I just loved their youth and enthusiasm!  I was sure to ask them all kinds of questions about what they wanted to study.  It was just really refreshing!

And for the last picture...I read about a new soul food restaurant that opened a few months ago, so I went there and got a to-go plate...

xoxo,
Kelly
