beda day 30

Well we've made it to day 30 of Blog Every Day in April, the final installment.

The family and I went to church this morning, then had nap time and backyard time this afternoon.  Then this evening it was nice to cuddle up in bed with a pile of books...

And I certainly enjoyed this glad he finally smiled for the camera...

Thank you for keeping up with us.  April has been a fun month.  Talk to you all soon...

beda day 29

For day 29 of Blog Every Day in April, I attended the second half of the Georgia Baptist Women's Spring Event.  It was so nice to be around adults and fellowship with other believers.

This is a picture of a picture of the Marriott father and son that was on display in the lobby...

The food was just amazing...of course I always think it tastes better when you don't have to prepare it!

After lunch there was a dessert reception for the outgoing and new incoming presidents.  The deck area overlooked the lake.  It was just so beautiful...

beda day 28

Hello and welcome to day 28 of Blog Every Day in April!  Sorry I don't always get these posted on the actual day.  I didn't even get home last night until 10pm because I went to my first Georgia Baptist Women's Spring Event!  It was at Stone Mountain Georgia, and was just amazing!

We were able to eat lunch and dinner there.  It was so tasty!  The break-out sessions that I attended were Who Do You Say I Am?  along with Who Is In Your Circle?  They were so informative and entertaining.  I'll try to update you later today and let you know how the rest of the session goes!

beda day 27

For day 27 of Blog Every Day in April, Matt was off work.  It was so nice to have him home.

I took this cute picture on display at CC's preschool...

I was able to go for a nice long walk and I saw these sticks on the ground in the shape of a cross...

I recently picked up this at Bath and smells like suntan lotion!

I hope y'all have a great Friday!

beda day 26

Welcome to day 26 of Blog Every Day in April!

I got the biggest laugh yesterday when I was reading over some paperwork that CC's teachers had sent home.  They were talking about the end of school activities and reminded the parents to "enjoy their quiet time while the kids are still in school."
So far that morning I had:  dropped the kids at theirs schools, mowed the grass in the entire yard, volunteered at the Pregnancy Center, gone to the grocery store twice, and cared for a sick husband with a stomach bug....and that was all before 1:15!

Anyway, I'm hoping for a more relaxing day today.  Here are some of our recent pictures...

I forgot to post this one earlier, but these are the Easter goodies that I set up for the kids.  I'm glad I took a picture of it because I completely forgot about it and when we got home from visiting family, they really tore into all of it...

Clarice wanted to lay down in the carport while eating grapes...

I recently painted the trim on the barn.
I'm going to paint the rest of it a dark blue color, but just doing the trim was a lot of hard work so I keep putting it off and doing other things like planting flowers...

So is everyone else enjoying their peaceful "quiet" time before school lets out?

beda day 25

Day 25 of Blog Every Day in April is all about...

L A N C E

When Lance was born six and a half years ago, my world completely changed.  I was so thankful for our big, healthy boy.  Even though we had to stay in the hospital a few extra days because of Jaundice issues, I couldn't wait to finally bring my baby home.  Even though I had endured pregnancy and labor, I couldn't believe that he was all mine and we were finally home together.

I know it sounds crazy but I actually don't even like looking at the hospital pictures that much because I just wanted to be back home with him and for him to really be all mine.

It has been such an adventure to watch him grow and learn over the years.  Even though we've had our ups and downs, our good days far out-number our bad days!  :)

beda day 24

Day 24 of Blog Every Day in April is all about....

Our big girl had a head start in life by arriving at almost nine pounds.  She will turn three in August, and it has been such an adventure being around her.  She always makes me laugh.

The one time I've been able to get her to sit on the potty was when we were at Chick-fil-A a few months ago when she briefly saw another child on there and decided to try it out.  I guess I'm glad I took a picture since it hasn't happened!

Thankfully the paci has gone bye-bye....and even that is a recent development.

It has been so much fun raising out little CC.  I love to hear her talk.  I tried singing her the Alphabet song this morning and she said, "no, I want the Jesus song!"

beda days 22 & 23

For day 22 of Blog Every Day in April, CC and I were pink and white twins...

Headed out to the country to see our Baba...

And Clarice was given fairy wings...

Then for day 23 I went to church and then attended a VBS meeting.  I didn't take any pictures, and I'm just glad the weekend is over.

beda days 20 and 21

For day 20 of Blog Every Day in April, I played the role of taxi mom.  After dropping off the kids at school, volunteering, and taking Lance to the dentist, we were ready to have some fun.

So, thankfully it is that time of the year again to go to the Fountains...

It was so nice to play in the water again.  Lance purposely got himself completely soaked.  He even put his head in the water fountain!

I checked out this book recently.  It was ok, but I didn't finish it...

Lance's class is doing an A-Z countdown to the end of school and today is the letter "C."  So for day 21 of BEDA it is Crazy Hair Day...

Clarice and I picked up a $3 purple Christmas tree at a yard sale, and CC insisted on putting it up already...I know for sure that girl is related to me!

And we rounded out our day with a three tiered water fountain that I made for the kids...

our trip to Athens...Georgia part 2

As the previous post stated, we were having lots of fun exploring Athens, Georgia.  Although we had quite a ways to walk, we finally made ...
