2016 Thanksgiving + other stuff

Hey there everyone!  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.  Here is how things have gone for us the last few weeks...

I was able to attend our annual Women's Dinner at church.  A few weeks prior, a homeless (I think) lady sat next to me at church and I bought her a ticket too.  She didn't show, but she is still in my thoughts and prayers.  Her name is Brittany if you could please remember her.

Clarice and I enjoyed going to a Thanksgiving Feast at our church/her preschool...
She isn't in this picture, but it was so cute I had to include it...

The weekend before last I was able to go to the 2016 Belong Tour with a few ladies from church.  It was really good.  I'm definitely a new fan of Jen Hatmaker.  She was one of the main speakers.  I'm going to be ordering her book from the library.

For Thanksgiving day we all went over to my brother's house.  It was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed seeing the kids.
Time for a nap after the meal...lol!
 My Baba...

Matt entertained the kids with a Pick-the-leaf-off-the-tree game...just helping out mother nature...(I think this was the day after Thanksgiving)

We also stopped by the cemetery to see the grave of Lance (who our Lance is named after)...

I wanted something special for us to come back home to on Thanksgiving, so I made a peanut butter pie...it was fabulous!

And lastly, Matt and the kids dropped me off back at home and then went to a park.  I jogged up there and we walked over to a city tree lighting.  We stumbled upon some cool train sets on display for the kids to look at and a cute Christmas tree room for pictures...

  1. What a fun Thanksgiving! I love preschool Thanksgiving crafts, don't you? And how sweet and thoughtful of you to buy that lady a ticket to the dinner. I hope and pray she is okay. Yum, that pie looks delicious and I love finding little festive spots to enjoy during the holidays. Cute picture of you and the kids with the trees.
