Lance's first week of Kindergarten

Have you ever had one of those days when you lock yourself out of the house, mop the sweat off your forehead with a diaper (that was not on the baby by the way), and can't remember what day of the week it is?  At this rate the blog title was looking to be Lance's first month of Kindergarten or Lance's first year of Kindergarten....so anyway here goes...

On Monday morning our little sleepy head got some unexpected snuggles from Clarice...

Attempt number one at having him pose with the sign...

Then ditching the idea of having a sign and going straight for the driveway chalk idea...

It was a bit of a long week.  Lance was distressed on day one and came home with red eyes, was wonderful on day two, and then started acting up a bit on day three.  It will just take time.  The teacher sends home a notebook and her and I can communicate that way.  I also remind Lance on the specifics things he needs to work on.

It was fun making these back to school teacher treats.  Lance cut out the apple shapes with just a little help from me.

We're really looking forward to a great year.  I'm so excited for my big boy!  :)

  1. Can you believe our boys are already in kindergarten? Where do the years go? They just go faster and faster these days. Yep, I am looking at probably having to do a 1st month of kindergarten post because I still haven't gotten Brody's written, and he has been back to school for a month already. Haha! I may get it written before he is out for September break. I just can't post out of order and have a few more posts to catch up on before that. This OCD is a real drag sometimes. ;-) I love that first picture of Lance and Clarice enjoying some snuggles. Those moments are the best, aren't they? The teacher gifts were so sweet and thoughtful, but I would expect nothing less from a mom like you. I hate that Lance had some rough days in the beginning, but I know he will adjust soon and will love kindergarten. Brody actually did well his first couple of weeks and has only in the last week had some days where he complained about not wanting to go in the morning. I think he is just tired though. He always says he had a great day in the afternoon at pick up. We really have to get our boys together one of these days. Sigh.

Labor Day Weekend 2018

Hey there, hope everyone is having a good Labor Day Weekend.  I did mow the lawn to get that part over with, but now it is time to have so...
