Lance is now five and a half

Well, our big sweet boy is now five and a half.  We are so thankful for Lance.  He is growing more each day physically and emotionally.  Lance can now buckle and unbuckle his seat belt all by himself.  He has been talking more, and his appetite is expanding.

Lance likes to quote movie lines and repeat what we say, but he has also been doing a little more spontaneous talking.  The other day he came over to me, sat in my lap, looked me in the eye, and said "I love you mama."  It was sooooo sweet!  Of course I didn't have too long to bask in the glow of it before Clarice accidentally hit me in the head with a soccer ball...lol!

Lance has been going to the Awana Cubbies program at church on Wednesday  nights.  We're still trying to figure out the best way to do that though because he has a hard time when the class moves twice to other rooms.  I have talked to the teachers and we are going to work something out.

Anyway, Lance is doing pretty good these days.  We're proud of the progress he is making and we look forward to our ever changing adventure with him!  :)

  1. Oh my goodness, Lance just looks so handsome and grown up! Evan has been going with his neighbor friend to Awana and loves it. I am glad Lance is enjoying it too. Brody is constantly reciting lines from the shows and movies he watches. He goes up to strangers talking like Captain Hook and saying really random things. He gets very strange looks. Haha! I think those lines just get stuck in their heads kind of like songs get stuck in ours, you know? It is so funny! :-)

  2. I love this update on your sweetie! I'm sorry Clarice hit you in the head. I've been getting beaned with baseballs lately (thanks Sam!) and it's no fun. I might yell (loudly) when it happens.

"I'm not a teenager yet"

This morning Clarice and I were having breakfast at McDonald's and as she ate her eggs, I told her that eggs have protein .  She looke...
