Life with Baby Girl

Hey there friends.  Hope everyone is doing well and is a lot more caught up on their sleep than I am.  We're doing pretty good.  Clarice still likes to sleep during the day and nurse at night.  We are enjoying her though.  She is just so cute!  Here are some of our recent pictures.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend.  I'll try to write more soon.

Our first few days with Baby Girl

Since welcoming Clarice Stella Cramer into this world on last Tuesday, we have had so much fun enjoying her and getting to know her.  She is such a blessing.  It has been really nice to have daddy here for a few days too!  Lance is going to be a wonderful big brother.  He seems to find her amusing, but we do have to remind him to be gentle with her.  :)

Here is a picture of us on our way home from the hospital...

Here are a few of me, Lance, and Baby Girl...the Saturday morning sleep-in...

This is one of my favorite outfits on her...

Lance has had fun playing with his new special coloring book that a friend of ours got him...

We're using mostly paper plates these days, but we know who to call if we need any "help" with the dishes...(he is standing on a step stool)...

Well, I hope you enjoyed these.  Talk to you all soon!

Baby Girl is here

Welcome to this world Clarice Stella Cramer!

She was born on Tuesday the 12th, and she weighed 8 pounds and 13 ounces!  Her middle name, Stella, is after my great grandmother.  She likes to sleep during the day and nurse at night, although we did do a little better last night and only got up three times.

I'm hoping to post more pictures soon...we'll see.  I'm actually hand pecking out this post...lol!

41 weeks and staying positive

I'm trying to stay positive and look at the bright side of things lately.  Being pregnant for 41 weeks really is a blessing if you think about it.  Having a full-term healthy baby is the goal, and that is what I need to focus on.  Here are some of my many recent blessings...

I get to take leisurely walks down Floyd Street.  Sometimes I go out there in the morning while Lance is at school, and sometimes I put him in the stroller and we go in the afternoon.  There was one day last week that I did both...mostly out of desperately hoping to go into labor...lol!

I know this sounds funny, but I love hospital food, so I am looking forward to that (hopefully this week)!  Bring on the overcooked veggies loaded down with salt!  It is really nice when you are just handed food that you didn't have to cook yourself...it just tastes better.

Everyone loves a big pregnant woman.  People in public smile at me, let me cross the street, and want to touch my belly.  I love all this attention!

Lance and I love to hang out in the newly designed nursery.  I sit in the glider quite often and watch Andy Stanley videos on the laptop computer while Lance plays with all the toys from the toy chest/bench.

We have received loads of baby girl clothes from friends and family.  I'm looking forward to dressing up baby girl and taking lots of pictures.  I hope she enjoys it for the first year, because after that it will be nothing but yard sale and Goodwill clothes...lol!

My all time favorite part of all this has been the deeper relationships I've formed with my women friends lately.  I've gotten to know some of my neighbors and the women from my church lately, and it has been such a blessing.  I used to spend a lot of time running, but it has been nice to slow down and do more crafting projects lately.  Here is a picture from our crafting class at church yesterday morning...

Thank you all again for your prayers and support.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

We're the Cramers

OK, maybe it is about creating a family...and not just a larger cheering section for me at my road races...lol!  The other day on a Christian radio station they were talking about creating a Family Statement.  It is basically just a statement of what you want your family to look like to the world.  I thought it would be fun to just use words on ours.  So, here it what I have come up with so far...
My prayer is that as the years pass, that these will be the words that people think of when they see our family.  Hope you all have a great day!  :)

Kelly's belly, 40 weeks

First of all, let's all join hands and pray that there isn't a post titled "41 weeks."  Well, we're all getting excited.  Lance's first day of school is Monday...tomorrow...my due date.  Maybe after I drop him off, I'll just swing by the hospital.  Ha!  :)

I wanted to do a picture of all of us with our hands on my belly, but some little toddler hand kept disappearing so this is the best we could do.

I've been doing a lot of walking.  My doctor's appointment (if necessary) is Tuesday, so I'll know more then what the next steps will be in all this.  Lance was five days late, so I have to warm up to the idea that I could have to end up being induced.  Thankfully I went into labor with him the day before I was going to be induced.

Lance and I had fun at Walmart on Friday celebrating the tax-free day.  He acted like he didn't want to go in the cart at first, but eventually warmed up to the idea when I kept giving him more and more snacks.  We always show up at the check-out line with half of our packages already opened.  Snacking through out the day has been good for me too since I have a very limited amount of room in my belly now.

I'll try to keep everyone posted as best I can.  Thank you for all your prayers.

our trip to Athens...Georgia part 2

As the previous post stated, we were having lots of fun exploring Athens, Georgia.  Although we had quite a ways to walk, we finally made ...
